JWP is located at Bashang area  of Zhangjiakou City, which is situated at the southern edge of Inner Mongolia Plateau, bordered with Shanxi and Inner Mongolia. It is the main channel for wind from Mongolian Plateau to the North China Plain. With geographical characteristics of plateau and valleys, the reserve of exploitable wind resources reaches 17,000MW suitable for building large-sized wind farms, according to expert report. It was listed as a wind energy demonstrative base with a capacity of 1000MW by the state. By the end of 2008, the total installation capacity reached 780,000KW at a growth rate of 130%. It is predicted that the total capacity will reach 4,000MW in 2010, 10,000MW in 2020 according to Zhangjiakou development plan.

　　JWP is located at Shangyi county where is only 5-150km from every wind farm. With many express ways, national trunk roads and provincial road networks radiating all directions, transportation and communications are very convenient.
